Kampumuvi.com (“we”) is committed to protecting your privacy when you register an account, top up funds, purchase a title, or watch on our service. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — email and/or phone number, display name, password (stored only as a hash), preferred language, and the profiles you create. If you sign in with Google we receive only your name, email, and account identifier — never your Google password.
- Transaction information — we never collect or store card numbers, bank credentials, or payment QR data. Payments are processed entirely by our payment providers (ABA PayWay, Bakong). We keep only the transaction reference, amount, the plan or top-up purchased, and its status, so we can grant what you paid for and show your history.
- Wallet and entitlement data — your wallet balance, transaction ledger, and the titles you have paid for (including any viewing windows).
- Viewing data — watch history, resume positions, ratings, playlists, and searches (per profile), used to run and personalize the service.
- Device and usage data — IP address, device/browser type, app version, and technical logs (errors, playback quality) needed to operate and secure the service.
- Notification tokens — the device push token (Firebase Cloud Messaging) if you enable push notifications.
2. How we use your information
- Operate the service: authenticate you, play what you are entitled to watch, remember where you left off.
- Process purchases: confirm payments, credit your wallet, grant access to titles you pay for, send receipts.
- Communicate: receipts and service announcements.
- Improve and personalize: watch history drives recommendations; technical logs drive reliability.
- Protect: detect fraud, account sharing, and abuse; enforce the Terms of Service.
We do not use your personal information for third-party marketing.
3. Cookies & tracking technologies
- We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in (httpOnly session cookies unreadable by page scripts) and a preference cookie for things like language. They do not track you across other sites.
- Advertising (free titles only) — standard ad-measurement beacons (impressions, playback quartiles, clicks) fire from your device directly to the ad source; ad sources do not receive your Kampumuvi account identity from us. Titles you have paid for carry no ads.
4. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Payment providers (ABA PayWay, Bakong) — to process payments you initiate, under their own privacy policies.
- Infrastructure providers operating the service on our behalf: Amazon Web Services (Singapore region), Cloudflare, Bunny, and Google/Firebase (sign-in and notifications).
- Ad sources (free titles) — as described in section 3.
- Authorities — where required by law or to protect the service and its users, on a valid request.
5. Data security
Passwords are stored as hashes; sessions use signed, automatically expiring tokens; playback uses short-lived security tokens; card and bank data never touch our systems. Still, no method of internet transmission or storage is 100% secure — we protect your data with industry-standard measures and will notify you of incidents as required by law.
